"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at you not wanting to lose your sea legs." And he wasn't. In fact, Lindsey kind of understood. He might not have been practicing since he left LA, but he'd had other things occupying his time and energy. Stuck here, where it seemed like the law was going to be the only thing with an end point, it chafed that he had to take the bar again and couldn't practice until he got his results.
